On February 4, Equibase released the Thoroughbred Racing Economic Indicators for January 2010. As compared to January of 2009, overall wagering on U.S. racing in January of 2010 was down 12.03 percent, and U. S. purses were down 10.04 percent. U. S. race days were down 7.98 percent.
