Trainer David Matthew Taylor Dies

Trainer David Matthew Taylor died Feb. 26 at his Oxford, Pa., home. He was 54.

For the past 35 years, Taylor worked as a trainer and most recently was stabled at Delaware Park. He also was an experienced blacksmith.

Taylor’s survivors include his wife, Kendra.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Wednesday, March 3, at the Edward L. Collins Funeral Home, 86 Pine St., Oxford, Pa, where friends may call after 1 pm. Interment will be in Sharpe Cemetery, Elkton, Md.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chester County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, Pa., 19380.
